Common Grounds adult seminar is a vital part of Christian Education at St. Michael’s in the Hills. Most Sunday’s after the 10:00 service (Sept. through May), adults are invited to the Fellowship Hall for presentations of spiritual, cultural and social topics. Presenters are often congregation members, spotlighting the wealth of talent and experience in our parish. Church organizations and committees are welcome to use Common Grounds as a forum for increasing awareness for special needs and projects. Sessions last approximately 45 minutes.
May 19, 2024: “This is OH”
Dr. Rupalie Chandar, chair of the Ottawa Hills civic group, “This is OH” will talk about this community-led organization that was started in 2017 to “bring awareness and constructive action to efforts that support diversity, inclusion, and equity in the Ottawa Hills Community.” In our season of fostering a climate of “neighbors” through our Neighbor to Neighbor program, let’s learn about a grassroots effort right here in Ottawa Hills. You will enjoy meeting Rupali, who is also a professor of astrophysics at the University of Toledo.
